Links

If I put a link on this page I am recommending this as a good site to visit.

Feeling Sceptical? Need Convincing?

There are lots of links below to sites where you can talk to other cloth nappy users and see if they live up to the hype. But this discussion is fairly recent and we found it particularly relevant.

Cloth Nappy Information

The Nappy Lady - nothing beats this UK site. It has absolutely everything you need to know.
Born to Love is an excellent Canadian site.
Cloth Nappy is another good Australian information site.

Nappy Sellers - all of these sites sell very good nappies

First the Australian ones:

Cleverpants - An Australian site selling Tots Bots nappies and covers and other cloth nappy products (but see About Us for the connection).
Ozenappy - an Australian site where you can buy high quality custom-made nappies and covers (see About Us for the connection).
Wee Wuns - selling a range of WeeWuns nappies plus prefolds and the renowned WeeWuns wool covers.
Nip Naps - selling the full range of Motherease products.
Darlings Down Under - selling Motherease and other products.
Bubba J - fitted nappies made by a WAHM (work at home mum).
Baby Beehinds - another WAHM site with fitted nappies and covers.
EBay - a good place to find secondhand nappies and you might also pick up a good deal from WAHMs who are only making small amounts. (Keep an eye out for 'Erica' nappies - a good buy.)

If you are prepared to order from overseas, you are spoilt for choice.
In New Zealand you have:
Snazzipants - some great looking Kiwi nappies.

We are most familiar with the UK scene, and can recommend the following sites:
The Nappy Lady - she's got my vote for the best nappyseller around.
Twinkle Twinkle
Ellashouse
Plushpants

Easy Peasy Nappies - a new brand we haven't tried, but run by a woman Elizabeth knows and trusts.
An excellent starting point for American products is Born to Love

Nappy Sewing

A great option is to make your own nappies if you're vaguely handy with a sewing machine. This is worth a website in itself - so much so that a new Australian website has just started up. It has links to websites with sewing and knitting patterns, and will soon be in business providing all the materials for making nappies:
Bubba Earth

Nappy Accessories

The Little Squirt

Nappy Comparisons

DooYoo Cloth Nappy Ratings
- a UK site where cloth nappy users rate their favourite (and not so favourite) nappies.

Diaperpin Cloth Nappy Ratings
- the US equivalent.

Nappy Discussion Forums

You have to join some of these sites to participate, but it's free.

Babyworld (UK based)
- UK based, a good, helpful place to start.

UK Parents (UK based)
- peopled by real cloth fanatics, sometimes hard to understand because there's so much expert jargon, but very helpful.

Essential Baby
- best of the Australian forums, but it's not specific to nappies. But no need to join to read, and there's a lot of cloth discussion going on. In particular you might find this discussion helpful if you're nervous about the switch to cloth.

Ozcloth Nappy Chat
- a chat group for Australian cloth users. You need to join the group first, but all are welcome.

Other Links

As we have said earlier, we believe the best nappy brands are not available in Australia. In particular, all the Australian brands we know of are made from flannelette which has limitations on absorbency and fit. We therefore cannot give a complete recommendation in their favour. However, there are obvious advantages in buying your nappies from Australia if you can, and flannelette is often a more economical alternative. We are therefore giving these links to Australian websites, which you can check out for yourself.

However, before you take our views too seriously, please remember that we both have a commercial interest in cloth nappies (see About Us). You must therefore make your own judgement about them, and hopefully the information on this site has equipped you to do that better. So here they are:

Zappy Nappies
Keltorr Designs
Cuddlybub
Cleverbabies

Not Nappies

This site is strictly about nappies only, but we have had some very helpful people put links on their sites to us, and we like to return the favour. Besides, a lot of cloth nappy people would share these kinds of interests, so we hope you find them interesting.
